A Trailblazer in Intellectual Property Law
Fernando Robles-Pesqueira’s career in intellectual property law began in 2001 at Arochi, Marroquin & Lindner, S.C. (now known as Arochi & Lindner), where he initially engaged in Brand Management practices. Seeking more dynamic challenges, he transitioned to the Intellectual Property Disputes group, dedicating six years to mastering the intricacies of IP litigation under the tutelage of prominent figures in the field.
In 2008, Fernando’s journey took him to Baker McKenzie in Mexico City, where he was charged with the formidable task of establishing the firm’s IP litigation department. Under his leadership, the practice flourished, experiencing an 800% growth and marking him as the youngest partner in the firm at the age of 32 by the end of 2012.
Jimena Gómez
Jimena is a passionate lawyer dedicated to excellence, attention to detail, and a client-centric approach. Her commitment lies in safeguarding innovations and creativity in today’s competitive landscape.
Specializing in Brand Management, Jimena provides strategic advice to clients across diverse industries. Her practice focuses on the management and protection of clients’ trademark portfolios. She also assists clients in various transactional matters such as mergers, assignments, and licenses related to IP rights. In addition, Jimena demonstrates exceptional proficiency in handling opposition and IP disputes, offering valuable negotiation advice based on her experience.

Sebastian Salido
Sebastián embarked on his legal career in 2015 when he joined an International Law firm as a law clerk while pursuing his studies at Law School. Since then, he has amassed valuable experience spanning brand management and enforcement; administrative and constitutional litigation; IP enforcement and regulatory affairs, particularly in the realm of tequila and mezcal.
Sebastián’s practice is distinguished by his expertise in brand management and enforcement, where he specializes in overseeing substantial trademark portfolios and crafting innovative strategies for robust IP rights protection. He provides comprehensive guidance to both local and international clients on brand enforcement, prosecution, and domain name disputes. His proficiency extends to handling administrative actions before the Mexican IP Institute, the Federal Administrative Courts, the Federal Circuit Courts, and the World Intellectual Property Organization.
Additionally, Sebastián has a keen focus on regulatory matters concerning the Mexican appellations of origin for Tequila, Mezcal, and Bacanora. In this capacity, he has successfully counseled numerous clients in disputes related to the use of the Tequila appellation of origin and provided strategic advice on the innovation and production of new products in this regulated industry.
